Results

1. Anti-stress resistance: treated carrots survived to severe frost, maintaining

green healthy leaves which later could be completely harvested by machine, this saving labor costs

2. Higher yield: Alga600 could significantly stimulate growth and increase yield

more than 20%

3. Balanced growth between leaves and tuber: treated leaves were 750px shorter

4. Early harvest: treated carrot could be harvested ca. 20 days earlier

5. Commercial value: high income due to the uniform size, bright color and natural flavor of carrots

Conclusions:

1. Balanced content of alginic acid, hormones and other nutrients ensure higher crop yield and better quality.

2. Algal active substances increase crop anti-stress capacity.

3. The rich PGR profile (plant growth regulators) can stimulate a balanced growth of crops.
